Design Objective

Design Statement

Demonstrate your understanding of visual organization within a layout to communicate an multi-evening event as a series. Utilize surface elements and hidden structures to create an effective piece that is well organized and successful. Use an advanced understanding of design elements, primary and secondary design principles, and Gestalt Theory principles as a basis for visual organization and interest.

The symphony posters were created as a set, but should still present well individually or when displayed as a set. In order to add interest to the posters, movement played a key role in the design. The design was mostly type-driven with flowing elements added to increase viewer interest. The movement takes the eyes of viewers across the top and leads down to the information below. The typography also includes hierarchy to show the important information first.
